End Eviction: A Call for Solidarity in the Fight Against Chase Bank

The Pittman family has been in their home since 1953. Chase Bank took advantage of the 62 year old retiree, Eloise Pittman, who owned the home at 404 Glen Iris. Shortly after receiving notice that her home had been foreclosed on, Mrs. Pittman passed away due to pancreatic cancer and hypertension.

Now Chase is taking away the home in which Mrs. Pittman passed away, the only home the Pittman Family has ever known.

We have attempted to negotiate with Chase Bank, but they refused, offering the family two options; either buy the house back from the bank or accept the ‘Cash for Keys’ offer of $2,500.

Atlanta Defends Dissent is organizing a protest at the Bank of America HQ building on JANUARY 25TH, AT 3:30 PM. Foreclosures are through the roof in Atlanta. In this blood-red state it is no surprise that tenants have very few rights in the way of not having their liveliehood stripped from them and their families.
We are sick of this endemic greed.
