10.08.12 Noise Demonstration in Solidarity w/PNW Grand Jury Resisters

On Wednesday evening, we gathered in Troy Davis park for a march and noise demo in solidarity with the  grand jury resisters in the pacific northwest/(1). The action was scheduled to begin at 7pm Atlanta time. We'd been somber all day, showing the video of her statement(2) to anyone who hadn't seen it yet, but we were happy to be together.

Two dozen of us marched to the city jail to the loud sound of drum beats. While several anarchists from last winter participated in the event, there were many newer faces. Central figures from last year have become peripheral. Some who were less involved, including several who might not have identified as anarchists pre-Occupy, have been taking initiative and forming affinity groups.

Banner Drop in Solidarity With the PNW

238 Early this morning we dropped a banner over Freedom Parkway in Atlanta that read: FOR THE SILENT ONES <3, fuck grand juries @. We did this to show our love for those in the Pacific Northwest who are resisting the grand jury subpeonas there. May the revolt continue to spread in spite of repression by the state. Solidarity with all who rebel.

Parking Meters Dismantled in Solidarity with Grand Jury Resistors

On the night of August 5th, we used industrial adhesives and a hammer to dismantle every parking meter on Edgewood Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta (45 parking meters total). On a large wall next to the biggest section of parking meters we spray-painted "FUCK THE GRAND JURY -- <3 FOR PNW (A)".

This is just a small gesture of solidarity with comrades in Portland, Seattle, and Olympia who are resisting the grand jury which released 6 subpoeneas late last month. We know that the point of these hearings is to stultify the rebellion of those in the Pacific-Northwest who have helped to escalate the unending social war of which we are all apart. All across the country -- in San Francisco, Oakland, New York, East St. Louis, the Twin Cities, Seattle, and elsewhere -- anarchists have decided to meet this repression with further attacks against the dominant social order. We hope that our humble act warms the hearts of all who resist.

FBI infiltration of anti-war movement uncovered in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN - At a press conference here, Jan. 12, Jess Sundin of the Twin Cites based Anti-War Committee (AWC) blasted police infiltration of the anti-war and international solidarity movement, stating, “We are here today to express outrage that our democratic rights have been violated by a government operation of spying, infiltration and disruption of our anti-war movement, which was carried out over the course of at least two and half years.”
