Anarchist Puppets Liberate Atlanta

Video

On January 6th, 2012, the Mysterious Rabbit Puppet Army landed in Atlanta for a show sponsored by local anarchists.  The M.R.P.A. is a radical puppet troop from Chapel Hill N.C. that has been performing around the country for 3 years.  This was their first Atlanta appearence.

The show Friday night consisted of two acts.  The first was an anarchist re-telling of the childrens classic Hansel and Gretel, set in Chapel Hill.  Even though the show had the audience laughing, it dealt with subjects such as poverty, child neglect and abandonment, child labor, and self liberation.  It also did a good job poking fun at modern liberal eating habits.

Did Georgia Execute An Innocent Man is an Atlanta Indy Media film shot outside Jackson State Prison, in Jackson Georgia on September 21st, 2011.  This was the date set to execute Troy Davis.  In this film, we interview Troy Davis supports who, on the eve of his execution, are looking for nothing short of a miracle to save his life.  We speak to leaders of Amnesty International, The Southern Center for Human rights, SCLS, Martina Carrea-Troy's sister has who fought for his life since his conviction in 1991, and many others calling for a last minute stay of his execution.  We also show how local law enforcement divide Troy Davis supporters, arrest non violent demonstrators, create a wall of intimidation, and then engage in a war of attrition into the night.  After his execution, media witnesses conduct a press conference followed by two members of Troy Davis's legal team.
