Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

This poster is made to be printed on 11x17 paper and posted everywhere. Many have been posted in the Edgewood Court apartments alongside the poster "War in the Neighborhood." Some residents have responded favorably to the posters and they recieved mention in the press conference head-pig Chief Turner did on the riot that took place on April 9th.

Text from the poster:

"For the second night in a row, people confronted the police in Edgewood Court in response to endless repression, raids, and harrassment. The march at 5pm took on a different character than the previous standoffs with the police in Edgewood. This time, instead of waiting for the police to attack, people went out on their own terms.

After folks gathered for a few minutes at the playground, drumming began and chanting started up. All cops are bastards/fuck the police! The march went on for just a block, picking up people along the way, before confronting the first cop car. People quickly pulled tshirts over their faces and everyone began screaming, throwing objects at the cops, and kicking the car until it drove away. Laughing, everyone kept going.

People forced cop cars to speed away (in time in reverse!) three times throughout the march by throwing bricks and rocks at them and surrounding their cars.

There weren't cops in the neighborhood after the conflict dispersed, but that wasn't for no reason.  Word on the street is that everyone -- people of all ages, the youngest being 4 years old -- threw rocks at the cops every time they drove past. Someone even threw a hammer.

What's next? How do we spread the revolt? How do we defend ourselves? How do we keep it growing?

#AtlantaRiot #Zone6"

Take Beano first, and there will be no gas.

How do defend we ourselves?

I don't wonder why shit doesn't get done. Shit never gets done because everyone likes to take their own shits and then pretend that their kind of shit is the brownest and lumpiest and the best smelling in the collective pile of indistinguishable shit.

I was just making a prediction.

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

Actually, your conception of revolutionary politics as a type of activist politics might explain your own inability to help provoke activity. That being said, I get a lot of shit done with the people I organize with and much of it yields material results or helps to construct situations favorable to rebellion.

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

ok.. 'revolutionaries' then...

Semantics.

And you wonder why shit never gets done...

You probably gave 6 people aneurysms just now by calling them "activists."

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

trololol

surely you guys realize those guys are kidding, right?

activists in atlanta are so fucking high strung... Unwrap those heiny hairs and let your constipation relieve itself...

wow. idiot.

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

I am a partner with an Atlanta design firm trying to talk with those helping to intensify longstanding desires and encouraging people to act on them.  Can anyone give me contact info for the person/people behind these posters?  Thanks!  404-919-0138

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

dumb troll is dumb.

if that is a troll and some naive newbie thinks hey thats a good idea... guess what? someone is snitched on.

even though there is no link between the two you know the pigs will make one just to save their sad little defeated egos.

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

They are stressing about the posters because they want to find the link between the propaganda and the riot (as if there was one.) We have to spread the word about this as much as possible.

Let's not hesitate to print out these posters and get people together to post them in every neighborhood of the city. I saw some in Little 5 Points already too which is cool. If people are feeling sketched out, just throw some gloves on when you're handling them.

Posters are important to be everywhere because it's not the first or second time someone stops to read it, but the 4th and 5th time.

Keep up the heat! The time is now.

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

obvious troll is obvious

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

Re: Poster: It's Hot Out in Edgewood: Fuck the Heat

Hi, I'm from channel 2, and I'd like to have an interview with whoever keeps making these super neat posters (or anybody who knows the identity of those people). I promise it can be totally anon-off-the-record and we won't just hand the footage over to law enforcement.

super cereal you guys!
