PureEnergy Farm building day a Success!

Thursday afternoon proved successful in the construction of 8 garden beds.

7 adults, 2 toddlers and a puppy named Zues joined forces to till, de-stone, and play around in a medium-sized garden in a residential community of Marietta. About 4 hours worth of work made for a very satisfactory accomplishment and was well rewarded with Vegan Chili, cranberry juice, and all natural Muenster cheese for our non-vegans.

The next step for this urban farm will be blending the dense Georgia clay with sand, compost, and possibly lime to balance the ph. The garden will be as organic as possible as PureEnergy does not need chemical additives to flourish.

This is an example of the ease it takes to help a neighbor construct a garden. Ask your neighbors if they would like a garden, as there are many people who would love to sweat a little for a future of both community and independance.
