Rally to support Troy Davis
On September 16th, 2011, several thousand people marched from Woodruf Park in downtown Atlanta to Ebenezer Baptist Church demanding clemency for death row inmate Troy Davis. After the march, people gathered in Ebinezer Baptist Church to hear a variety of Civil and Human Rights leaders, musicians, politicians, clergy and exonerated death row inmates all asking that the Ga. Parole and Clemency Board release Mr. Davis. This video is part 1 and includes speeches by Ed Dubose, Ga. Conference President of the NAACP, Everette Thompson of Georgia/South Amnesty International, Rev. Al Sharpton, President of the National Action Network, and state lawmakers Sen. Vincent Fort and State Rep. Roberta Abdul-Salaan. It runs about 53 minutes.
