Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov slammed the US antimissile plan, saying it will undermine strategic balance with Russia. Sunday's general election in Thailand saw the People Power Party, giving it a near-majority in Parliament.

From CHINA- Turkey bombed then began a small invasion of Kurdish rebels in N Iraq. In Paris, international donors pledged over $7 billion to support Palestinian territories in the next 3 years. Israel says it will consider mediation with Hamas if the rocket attacks are halted- in the interim Israeli jet attacks have killed at least 12 Palestinians. Japan has successfully tested a US built missile interceptor system off the coast of Hawaii. Russia says it will adjust its military plans next month in response to the US missile defense system planned for central Europe.

Demi-Gods or Demons? You be the judge.
Of the 2 men Giuliani is the better-known nationally, but neither one deserves the support of his GOP party or the American people.
You have to take your hat off to Texas Governor Rick Perry. Only in America --- specifically Texas --- could a governor who won only 39-percent of the total votes get reelected without a run-off and then set his sights on being Vice President of the U.S.! How could that be?
Three reasons:
1. Perry continues to do everything for his wealthy corporate special interests and they in turn provide him with huge campaign dollars, high-end perks and their undying support
2. There were 4 contenders in the last gubernatorial race of which only 1 was a viable contender, 2 were independents, 1 a Libertine; consequently, Texas voters were flim-flammed unsure of how to cast their votes, although it was clear that most did NOT want Perry reelected

Top doctor says 20% of cancers caused by chronic infections

A leading scientist is saying that approximately 20% of all forms of cancer are caused by chronic infections, Newsday
newspaper is reporting.

Dr. Andrew Dannenberg, director of the Cancer Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, estimates that pathogens underlie anywhere from 15 to 20% of cancers affecting people globally.By Gene Koprowski, Editor-in-Chief
