Anti-Foreclosure Cookout in the Old 4th Ward

Since December 6th, 2011, the Pittman Family home on Glen Iris Dr in the Old 4th Ward has been occupied by Occupy Atlanta. The Pittmans were the victims of a predatory loan and have had their home of four generations foreclosed on. Occupiers have been organizing in the neighborhood by canvassing, fliering, and holding family friendly cookouts.

Saturday February 11th, 2012 will be our second cookout, this time in the park at the corner of Angier and Boulevard. There will be free food and childcare provided! This is an opportunity for activists and community members to meet and build connections. Bring a dish, bring an instrument, bring your kids, and have fun while defending against foreclosure and eviction!
