I marvel at these continual demonstrations of the "Christian" version of Sharia law- this might as well have happened in the Sudan or Afghanistan. It's all the same cruel bigotry, intolerance, and stupidity on display- just different geography, coded religious language, and excuses. There is nothing in the teachings of Jesus Christ that condones this kind of small minded stupidity and selfishness.

If this teacher wants so badly to teach Sunday school, let her quit and go do so- for the going rate. Don't fire her- Divine forbid she collect one cent of [government-funded, secular] unemployment for her inane unprofessionalism and quasi-spiritual efforts.

I use the word "quasi-spiritual" quite deliberately. If the woman is not an ordained minister, she has no business preaching in the first place. And if what she's "teaching" is not predicated in historical context, logic, and truth, she has no business teaching, either.

Get that woman away from those children before she does any more harm. The mystical magus, radical opponent of the Establishment Religion of his time, and tolerant educator [of even those who didn't belong to his Jewish faith] named Jesus would have wanted it that way.
